SSEA-4 Antigen Is Expressed on Rabbit Lymphocyte Subsets
نویسندگان
چکیده
SSEA-4 antigen can be mainly found in embryos and embryonic stem cells. However, its expression has been observed also adult progenitor cells, or even some differentiated Moreover, we a considerable number of positive (SSEA-4+) cells within the rabbit peripheral blood bone marrow mononuclear (PBMCs BMMCs) our previous study. Since no information about such anywhere literature, aim this study was to identify their origin. At first, phenotypic analyses fresh PBMCs BMMCs were performed using flow cytometry specific antibodies against leukocyte subsets. Then, SSEA-4+ enriched magnetic activated cell sorting (MACS) analyzed for phenotype qPCR. We significant population (~50%) (~20%). All those co-expressed CD45 majority them expressed B-cell marker (IgM; 50% 60% BMMCs). Increased (p < 0.05) SSEA-4, markers (IgM, CD79α MHCII) noticed by qPCR via MACS (with efficiency over 80%). Both methods did not detect monocyte T-cell markers. In conclusion, are hematopoietic origin probably belong B-lineage as possessing B lymphocytes. true function these should explored further studies.

Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen-4.
Cancer immunotherapy relies on the ability of the immune system to target tumor-specific antigens to generate an immune response. This initial response requires both binding of the MHC/antigen peptide to T-cell receptor complex, along with a second costimulatory signal created by the binding of CD28 on the T cell, with B7 located on the antigen-presenting cell. Regulatory checkpoints, such as c...
متن کاملCD8+ T Lymphocyte Subsets in Bladder Tumor Draining Lymph Nodes
Background: Cytotoxic CD8+ T cells, as essential parts of the adaptive immune system, play pivotal roles in anti-tumor immune responses. It is well documented that cytokine expression profiles and activation status of these cells during anti-tumor immune responses affect the outcome of host-tumor interaction. Objective: To investigate the percentages of CD8+ lymphocytes and their subsets in...

At a scientific meeting in 1968, Jacques Miller was accused of complicating immunology. He and others suggested that there was not one but two kinds of lymphocytes--one from the thymus and one from the bone marrow. In a pair of groundbreaking articles published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine in 1968, Miller and his student Graham Mitchell proved that two subsets of lymphocytes did exis...
متن کاملLymphocyte subsets and activation.
The biology of lymphocytes is regulated by a large and seemi& growing number of soluble and cell-associated species. A current list includes: interleukins IL l-7, interferons, antigen and perhaps CD4 and cytokines derived from non-lymphoid tissues such as neuropepride, steroid and admnergic hormones. The quality and quantity of regulators present in the B cell milieu during an immunologic insul...
متن کاملFlow cytometric analysis of the Hermes homing-associated antigen on human lymphocyte subsets.
The homing of lymphocytes is controlled by interactions with high endothelial venules (HEV), specialized vessels that define sites of lymphocyte extravasation into lymph nodes and inflamed tissues. In humans, lymphocyte-HEV binding involves a lymphocyte surface glycoprotein (GP) of 85 to 95 kd (CD44, H-CAM), defined by monoclonal antibody (MoAb) Hermes-1. To define the expression of this homing...
